Laptop Isn’t Turning On

Okay, the power comes into the plug, Dc jack, on the back or the side of the computer, which connects it to metal traces inside the mainboard of the computer. These will be connected to voltage regulators which often output 5 volts, 12 volts, 3.3 volts, and the CPU voltage. When you drop your laptop or the DC jack itself gets broken, no power goes to the motherboard and your laptop would not start. More about computer DC Jack repair service.

Brocken Laptop Screen

Power for the LCD display is usually done separately. Generally, LCD backlights require high voltage to operate. A component that might be called a power inverter will step the voltage up to what is needed for the backlight. Sometimes this inverter is a discrete and replaceable component, and sometimes just a chip on your mainboard, that it is also involved in the brightness control. Laptop Randomly Turns Off

When a laptop gets too hot, it will typically shut itself down to protect the internal components from overheating. If this is happening to you, track down the cause of the heat. For instance, is there anything blocking the vents, such as dust or a blanket, that’s preventing the vents from exhausting hot air? A can of compressed air can be used to blow dust out of the vents.
